Clichy has only been available for half the season for the past two seasons and armand traore is just a little bit too young for my liking to be considered a good backup. Cygan played at left back last season due to injuries but he was slow as shit (he'd be at the half-way line while a winger is about to cross it in from outside the box). There's no way he should even still be at the club in my opinion. Flamini shouldn't be asked to play at left back anymore cause its not his natural position and he seems to be a little bit unsure of himself there although he did really well towards the end of last season.We need a young centre back which will probably come in the form of Shilla Illiasu who has WC experience and is only 23 and who i'm hoping can also provide cover at left back.The real issue in the squad at the moment is that we won't really have our first eleven until october with injuries to diaby, lauren, clichy, henry, etc. We need to get a couple of experienced young players in fast. I say young because they don't tend to worry about being on the bench every now and then (or being rotated). Hopefully Illiasu will be that kind of player for us.I think the need for a CM is not quite as necessary as most people think as we do have cesc, gilberto, flamini and song with diaby returning from injury hopefully very soon. For sure gilberto is a bit dodge in that he seems to go missing alot in games but I think we have a fair bit of variety in mildfield that will give us what it takes to challenge for the EPL this season there. Cesc is an attacking CM whose final ball is out of this world (see assists in WC for proof), gilberto is good at breaking up play and making simple passes, flamini is a run your guts out midfielder (i think UCL final was not a good example though) and diaby is all presence in the engine room if you ask me (he's different than viera in the way he plays but boy does he seem to have the same sort of presence). Song doesn't look too good to me atm but i reckon he'll develop this seasonGo the Gunners
