Hi Katherine,I agree that that’s the difference between a lot of literary fiction and genre fiction, but not an innate gender difference. I would be far more convinced if the argument could be made by looking at exclusively the literary genre and comparing male and female approaches there. I bet you’d find the “need more action” male genotype to be absent.What does need to be present, regardless of what genre is subscribed to, is something to immediately pull the reader into the story. It might be action, but it might not be that at all.Just my opinion.
